Doula/ Childbirth Educator
Jady is a doula, childbirth educator, bodyworker, group facilitator and mother. Her inspiration to train as a doula came through the birth of her own son in 2006 and the formidable support that she received throughout her journey into motherhood. She trained primarily with Kate Woods of Conscious Birthing and progressed to working within her practice based in Glastonbury. She further trained with the Holistic Birth Trust Foundation in Wells, Somerset. She is a recognised member of Doula Uk. Jady has worked within a wide range of holistic therapies over the past 15 years and nurturing others has always defined her path. Becoming a doula was a natural progression as her own life as a mother unfolded.
Jady feels there is no right or wrong way to birth and that what defines an empowered birth experience is the consciousness with which we choose to journey through it. She sees herself as a guide and witness, an advocate and nurturer in all aspects of antenatal, birth and postnatal care. In her work, she honours the uniqueness of every mother and father's journey to parenthood. She encourages and guides them to engage with their own inner wisdom and intuition, drawing upon and trusting these as they move through one of life's most transformative rites of passage.
Alongside her training as a doula, Jady is also an experienced bodyworker. She trained as a massage therapist at The Reidman School for complimentary medicine in Israel and further with Suzanne Yates of Well Mother, specialising in shiatsu for pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period for both mother and baby. Her training with Andy and Ella Portman of The Living Tao, exploring conscious connected breathing, self reflective processes and meditation practises, both deepened and enriched her approach to life and her work. Another prominent branch of her work explores the wisdom of a woman's menstrual cycle and the significance of the differing phases of her life from menarche to menopause. She recognises that reclaiming this knowledge is revolutionary and can utterly transform a woman's experience of herself, her relationships and her place in the World. She has trained closely with Alexandra Pope of The Woman's Quest, a pioneer in this field.
